Mission Statement

Cornerstone Golf Academy (CGA) exists to serve individuals and organizations that desire to learn the skills that relate to the golf swing and the game of golf. We are committed to bring excellence and integrity in our presentations as we seek to help others understand and appropriate their God-given talents in how to play the game of golf. Our desire is to bring FUN and CHARACTER into one golf swing for a person to appreciate and take with them as they live their life. We center the character instruction around four key components: discipline, integrity, respect, and honor.

CGA aims to create expanded playing opportunities, teach and honor golf traditions and recognize individual performance and contributions to the game of golf. CGA fosters learning, growth in relationships, character building, and excellence in player development for an expanded number of golfers in a safe, affordable, and enriching environment.

Vision Statement

CGA will be in the forefront of developing alliances with public and private golf facilities, amateur and professional golfers and their associations, educational institutions and local governments in providing valued and sustained programs reaching out to new and experienced golfers, regardless of their skills or socioeconomic barriers. Through CGA programs, players will improve performance skills, knowledge in rules, proper etiquette and care of the golf course.

How Our Goals will be accomplished

On the base of solid leadership in CGA, all the resources will be in place to launch meaningful and lasting programs. CGA will include the use of participating public and private golf facilities, educational institutions, city/county government facilities, and coordinated golf instruction through participating area PGA & LPGA golf professionals.

Motivational and Inspirational Golf Clinics

CGA will provide special golf clinics for all interested CGA participates to experience the talents, “best practices,” and character building messages of guest golf professionals.

CGA is developing the establishment of an indoor and outdoor training and evaluation facility for the purpose of promoting and extending golf skills and character development.

Cornerstone Golf Academy, LLC

Headquartered in Peoria, AZ, CGA is a LLC registered with the state of Arizona and the U.S. government. CGA has an advisory committee consisting of PGA golf professionals interested in encouraging and developing youth. In addition, there is a business advisory committee to provide sound financial and business counsel.

Cornerstone Leadership Training Center, 501c3

Cornerstone Leadership Training Center (CLTC), in connection with CGA, provides materials and further training in character development to interested students. CLTC is a 501c3 non-profit organization established to assist individuals in developing personal character strategies.

Funding for Cornerstone Leadership Training Center will:

• help provide scholarships for individuals who desire to participate in our life character programs
• help provide scholarships for individuals who desire to participate in our golf character instructional programs

Bill Neal

Director & Head Golf Instructor

Cornerstone Golf Academy was started by Bill Neal who has been playing and teaching golf for more than forty five years.

Instead of pursing playing golf as a career, Bill chose to use golf as a platform to encourage individuals to use their God-given talents as a way to develop personal disciplines in their every day life.

Besides teaching golf, Bill has been a Pastor, teacher and counselor for churches and Para-church organizations in Tennessee, California and Arizona. He has spoken to thousands of young people and adults about personal character development throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Middle East.

Bill has especially been able to help many young people (ages 6-18) understand the skills that relate to the golf swing as well as offer some practical ways to develop personal character in their lives.

Tim Harden

CGA instructor

Tim comes from a golf family where his father, aunts, uncles and cousins were all excellent golfers many of which joined the professional ranks, likewise, Tim turned professional in 1987.

Shortly after turning pro Tim realized he had a knack for teaching the game of golf to others which further deepened his love for the sport. In 1990 Tim left the ranks of the club professionals to pursue his dream of playing professionally.

After a couple of years on and off of various mini tours with limited success it was time to move on to greener pastures. Since then Tim has worked in many different capacities both in and out of the arena of golf but one thing has never changed: his love for the sport of golf has always been near and dear to his heart. We are excited to have Tim on our team and with the people skills he possesses coupled with his teaching ability we believe he’s a great addition to Cornerstone Golf Academy.
